Policies & Procedures: Policies & Procedures

The A. Holly Patterson Library is open to the public, however only current Nassau Community College students, faculty, staff, administrators and alumni have borrowing privileges.  Limited computer and database use is available.  Please see a Technical Assistant at the Upper Commons Information Desk (library, 1st floor) for details. All users of our Wi-Fi and technology must comply with the College's Acceptable Use Policy.

The SUNY Open Access Borrower Program allows SUNY students, faculty, and staff with a valid SUNY ID to use the facilities and collections of all other SUNY libraries. This includes the ability to borrow books and other materials which normally circulate. To view policies and participating schools, see Open Access Overview and Participants on the SUNY Connect Policies page. To search through all of SUNY's materials, use Search All and select All SUNY Libraries from the drop-down menu.

Photo ID is required for entry.

The A. Holly Patterson Library has several policies and procedures in place to help run the library efficiently and to provide optimal services to Nassau Community College students, faculty, administration and staff.
