Textbooks and eTextbooks: Finding a Call Number

What is a Call Number?

The Call Number is a set of letters and numbers found on the spine of the book.  It indicates the book's location on the shelf.  We use "LC" or the Library of Congress Classification System.

How do I find the Call Number?

You can find the call number of your textbook by searching the Library's website.

Once you find the call number, proceed to the stacks on the second and third floor to find your physical resource.

For call numbers beginning with A-N go to the SECOND FLOOR.

For call number beginning with P-Z go to the THIRD FLOOR.

Need assistance?  Please visit the Research & Instruction help desk on the first floor.
