ART 201 Guide for Professor Jones's Classes: Home

ART 201

Welcome

This guide was created to help you find scholarly sources for ancient to early medieval works of art in our library databases and including online scholarly sources that our library can link to. Scholarly works include articles and books chapters written by Art critics who explore the techniques, styles, movements, meaning, influence, and progression of Art throughout time and its impact on Civilization. Google Scholar, another important source of articles from Art Journals, can be connected to our databases to help the search process for full text sources.

Use the tabs above to access our searchable databases. You can also visit the library and ask to be taken to the Art section on the second Floor, which carries many scholarly sources for Ancient to Medieval art. Books can be checked out for the entire  semester. The tab for books displays some samples of titles on our shelves.

Most importantly, ask a librarian for help in the NCC library or hop on our chat widget in the upper corner for live help, screen-sharing, or an instant Zoom session.
