Citations and Turnitin

The library has a Citation LibGuide and handouts available. These are great reference resources to aid you in using citations correctly. Copies of the citation stylesheet handouts can also be found at the Reference Desks, located in the Upper and Lower Commons of the Library as well as the 2nd floor Help Desk.

is a web-based software system that identifies improper citations and unoriginal content in students’ work. This software checks students’ work against 20 billion web pages, 220 million student papers, and over 90,000 periodicals. At Nassau Community College, Turnitin is primarily used as an educational tool. Students and Faculty who have questions about using Turnitin at NCC can visit the Turnitin LibGuide or email James.Mantegna@ncc.edu.
