The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind (Common Text 2019-2020)

The following film segments trace William Kamkwamba's TED Talk appearances, starting with his breakout 2007 talk, in which he seems practically overwhelmed by the moment and proceeds to win over the crowd, relating his inspirational story through heavily inflected English.  This is followed by his 2009 appearance "How I Harnessed the Wind," in which we see a much more sure-footed speaker commanding the stage and delving deeper into the background story that comprised his book The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, which was being written at that time with Bryan Mealer.

The last segment catches up with William's ever-evolving story in 2019, ten years after his last TED appearance.
