SUNY Open Textbook Program

The Open SUNY Textbook Program will provides free online textbooks, thanks to the support from a SUNY Innovative Instruction Technology Grant (IITG) and library funding, and the time and talent of librarians and consultation by SUNY Press.

SUNY Online Teaching

The Online Teaching community for those interested in improving their online teaching and learning practices and who are also willing to "share what they know!".  It's mission is to  cultivate, support, and promote system-wide excellence in online teaching and learning.

KHANACADEMY, whose motto is "Learn almost anything for free," is a not-for-profit group that wants to change education by providing free education to anyone, anywhere. 

 MERLOTII (Multimedia Educational Resource for learning and Online Teaching) is a free and open online community of resources designed primarily for faculty, staff and students of higher education from around the world to share their learning materials and pedagogy.

 OPENSTAX CNX Connexions is a place to view and share educational material made of small knowledge chunks called modules that can be organized as courses, books, reports, etc. Anyone may view or contribute:

  • authors create and collaborate
  • instructors rapidly build and share custom collections
  • learners find and explore content

 P2PU  (Peer 2 Peer University) The Peer 2 Peer University is a grassroots open education project that organizes learning outside of institutional walls and gives learners recognition for their achievements. P2PU creates a model for lifelong learning alongside traditional formal higher education. Leveraging the internet and educational materials openly available online, P2PU enables high-quality low-cost education opportunities.

Brainly  A free community where you can ask questions, get live help in science, math and history, and connect with learners who are studying the same things you are!

Open Education Consortium The Open Education Consortium is a worldwide community of hundreds of higher education institutions and associated organizations committed to advancing open education and its impact on global education.
