NCC 101: Immigration Assignment: Finding Streaming Videos

Finding Streaming Videos

To find a video in Films On Demand, you will need to type a keyword or the name of a program/film into the search box at the top of the screen. Use the drop-down menu to search for titles (full programs and films) or segments (any part of a film or program) and then click on search.

Your search results will be displayed quickly. You can narrow down your results by choosing a subject area on the left. If you are viewing segment results, then you can also narrow down your results by choosing titles instead.

What is a Streaming Video?

Streaming technology allows you to access high quality video content via the Internet. Instead of downloading an entire video file before viewing it, streaming allows you to begin viewing the video immediately while the rest of the program downloads in the background.

This embedded video below is an example of a streaming video from the Films On Demand database.
